Window repair

You are visiting this page because you have received an urgent request from Bürstner to have the windows of your caravan inspected and repaired at your dealer’s.

 

Quality controls by Bürstner and Polyplastic have shown that the bond between the outer and inner panes can become detached and under certain circumstances an effective bond between the silk screen print and the edge of the window can no longer be guaranteed.

 

In the worst case a window pane could come loose, causing possible danger to you and other road-users.

 

In order to guarantee the safety of you and other motorists, Bürstner and Polyplastic have decided to attach the inner and outer panes of your windows mechanically as a preventive measure. This will be done using a specially developed screw connector which permanently secures the two panes.

Certain windows will not need to be repaired. Your dealer can explain which windows do or do not need to be repaired. This has to do with the type of window and the production date.

 

After the repair, the problem will be solved and the danger avoided.

 

We would expressly advise that you attach the windows of your vehicle with strong adhesive tape before venturing onto the road.

 

The necessary repair work will be carried out by the Bürstner dealer free of charge.  You will not be charged any costs for labour or materials.
